Trial with ComCat and CibuSil on cotton

A New Day, A New Cotton Trial!

Texas, United States of America

Our agronomist is at it again, relentlessly conducting a new trial with ComCat and ComCat + CibuSil on cotton. She’s been helping this farmer for years with sustainable methods like cover crops and crop rotation. After planting the cotton, we experienced several heavy rain events, with 4.3 inches last night alone—more than we usually see in four months! In total, we’ve received around 7 to 8 inches in just a few days.

Fortunately, the grower’s use of cover crops and crop rotation has helped manage the farm’s soil health. This particular cotton field was chosen for the CibuSil and ComCat treatment because it’s been close to sodic in the past. The recent rains might improve the soil condition, and we’ll conduct a soil test now and later this year to monitor changes, especially demonstrating the difference that our technologies can make!

We’re especially interested to see if ComCat or CibuSil aids germination and soil health in these wet conditions. Stay tuned for updates—we’re expecting promising results in about two weeks!

Fun fact:

Texas isn’t just the “Lone Star State”; it’s also home to the “Citrus Capital of the World!” Down in the Rio Grande Valley, you’ll find over 27,000 acres dedicated to citrus groves, producing juicy oranges and the sweetest grapefruits you’ll ever taste. In fact, the Rio Star grapefruit, known for its vibrant red color and super sweet flavor, is a Texas original that’s hard to beat. So, next time you enjoy a refreshing grapefruit, you might be savoring a little piece of Texas sunshine!phold.
